Earth Month 2026 Recap

Earth month was a busy one! Here’s a recap of the various activations we hosted & attended:

April 4: Spring Clothing Swap

📍Newburgh Farmers Market | Newburgh, NY

We kicked off the month with a little spring cleaning at the Newburgh Farmer’s Market. We invited the community to donate their pre-loved clothing and circulate them for free to other neighbors. Many walked away with bagfuls of new-to-them items. It was a fun and successful start to Earth Month!

April 22 [Earth Day]: Hudson Valley Textile Project Summit

📍Wyltwick Country Club | Kingston, NY

We were invited to table at the 9th Annual Hudson Valley Textile Project Summit. We heard from regional textile producers, farmers, and designers about the urgent issues of the conventional fashion industry, and inspiring voices making a difference in our backyard.

A New Home for The Week[end]!

📍 Stone Ridge Orchard | Stone Ridge, NY

On Earth Day we announced a new venue for this year’s Sustainable Week[end] festivities: Stone Ridge Orchard in Stone Ridge, NY. While it has been a dream to host the first three Organic Runway presentations at Rose Hill Farm, we are thrilled to move our signature event to a new bucolic setting. Our mission is to mend the relationship between nature and fashion, which includes amplifying the many beautiful & fruitful farms in our region.

April 25: Mending Workshop

📍Newburgh Farmers Market | Newburgh, NY

We returned to the Newburgh Farmers Market with mending supplies at the ready! Participants were invited to learn basic mending methods to repair their loved garments and extend their lifespan. This offering was especially popular with the farmers vending at the market.

April 30: Documentary Premiere

📍maison après | Kingston, NY

We ended the month on a high note by hosting a screening of a mini-doc filmed & produced by Hudsy. We gathered, gabbed, and munched on popcorn seasoned by our spice sponsor Chef Joy Cooks. It was such a pleasure to share our work with a crowd of friends, supporters, and sustainable fashion-curious folks alike. We introduced the new additions to our growing board, Julie Turpin and Josette Ramnani, and invited attendees to support our work. If you missed the screening, you can check out the film here!

We closed the evening by announcing our upcoming two-day event in September - the HVSFW[end]:

Thank you to everyone that joined us to celebrate Earth Month!

xoxo - Kaitlyn, Joanne & Annie
