No-Sew Apron With Eco Art Play

In this imaginative upcycling workshop, kids will transform old tees into aprons for messy art making. We will open the back of the tee and weave scraps to create a closure. Inspired by the cycles of nature, students explore the question: If nature creates without waste, how can we rethink our own relationship with material? This learner-centered flow deepens resourcefulness, creative problem solving, and confidence in their own ideas. All materials are thoughtfully sourced from reused and recycled items. Folks are welcome to bring in forgotten textiles/materials to incorporate into their creations.

Tech/tools: kids tees, scissors, upcycled yarn, optional decorative bits

Meet us in Kingston:

The Fuller Building

We are thrilled to announce a new venue for the Slow Fashion Fair:

We are thrilled to be hosting the Slow Fashion Fair in a piece of Kingston history: The Fuller Building, a former shirt factory and renovated multi-level creative wonderland. The former Fuller Shirt Factory was listed on the New York State and The National Register of Historic Places in 2018 as part of an adaptive re-use renovation undertaken by Dutton Architecture. 42,000 sf of the building has been renovated to create a wide range of professional working studios and professional office spaces. The Building now offers contemporary amenities and features while celebrating the building’s history, architectural features and textures throughout the common areas and tenant spaces.
